Attempts to define what I do have met with limited success... The feeling for me is that of weaving together the seemingly disparate aspects of Being...of guiding someone to a vision of his or her own wholeness and perfection...of loving someone for Who (S)He Is, and easing that person to a place of wonderment and gratitude for the Life that (s)he has created...WHATEVER that Life may be...of opening an attitude of joyful responsibility and active serenity...of watching with awe as one by one we step into our destiny and begin to heal our pools of influence through Love...

My roots are Brahmin and Celtic...I was born in the West Indies, raised in Manitoba, and traveled to study in Japan, Europe, Central America, and 5 years in San Francisco's Chinatown. Spiritual training has lead me through Hindu, Taoist, Tibetan Buddhist, Wiccan, mystical Christian, Cree, Anishnabe, Miq'ma, Mayan, and Jewish traditions.

I have practiced and taught oriental medicine throughout the Americas for the past 30 years, created (32 years ago in Manitoba) a way of teaching English as a second language based in the music of the language; was member of a committee that created curricula on the Third World for high school students (Manitoba);studied/apprenticed in a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques (12 years); worked as a counselor and trainer in Crisis Intervention Centres for 7 years (dealing primarily with rape and sexual assault victims), and worked in journalism, politics, and interior design - as a musician and maker of ritual pipes, drums and traditional herbal remedies...a farmer and homeschooling mother of 4 amazing children...

It has been my honour to midwife many souls into and out of their physical bodies.I have been called teacher, spiritual guide, naturopath, mother, healer, witch, midwife, shaman and troublemaker !Home is HeartRoot Farm near Lac-Mégantic on the border of Maine...240 acres of protected land at the meeting of the Appalachians and the White Mountains, where we continue to teach, to harvest and transform wild herbs, and to mark the solstices and equinoxes with retreats and sweat-lodges.

I see individual clients, couples and families; guide group meditations; teach courses for people in the healing professions, and teach the principles of oriental medicine in schools, cultural associations, and to anyone who will listen!
